1- That Ain’t Right/That’s All Right

Written By: Diane Lorraine Fisher Copyright: February 18, 2010

You tell me that you love me and you’ll count the ways. Well honey, you ain’t no Romeo, and this ain’t no Shakespeare stage.

If you really want me, why is it hard to tell me so. And if you’re playin’ some lover’s game, then honey, just let me go.

Chorus:

Cause I don’t need a man to hold my hand, And I ain’t lookin’ for a one night stand, no, that ain’t right

I’m lookin’ for a man to hold me tight, rock and roll me in the night, yea, and that’s alright.

You wine me and you dine me, and you buy me pretty things, now you got me shoppin’ for sparkly diamond rings

But when nobodies watchin’ you treat me real cruel. Well, honey I’m sure in love with you but I’m feelin’ like a fool.

(Chorus)

You been makin’ promises, you know you’ll never keep, well honey let me put my boots on, cause it’s gettin’ mighty deep

You don’t’ really want me, I hear you loud and clear. I’m tired of your excuses and honey I’m outta of here.

(Chorus)

…….Come on darling, and that’s alright, come on baby, and that’s alright.

2- I’m A City Girl But I Got A Country Heart

Written By: Diane Lorraine Fisher       Copyright: August 2009

I used to drink fine wine while I would listen to the palms trees sway, I sipped Dom Perignon on a yacht down on the Biscayne Bay.

I had it all and I was livin’ right, And I loved all the shimmering lights, But In my heart I dreamt of horses and ridin’ in a moonlit night.

Chorus:

I love a wild horse, a slow hand, A cold beer, and a good man. I’m a city girl, but I got a country heart

Back in the heat of the city we would valet our expensive cars. After along day of work we would drink at real fancy bars.

We would shop down in Coconut Grove, and we would dine in a private cove. While I was thinkin’ bout a fish I caught was fryin’ on my Uncle’s stove.

(Chorus)

Now that’s the story ‘bout a girl who grew up in a city way. She made a wish on a star that she’d be singin’ country one day.

She’d trade it all if she was losin’ her soul to the bright lights on a big stage. And she’d dream about her horses, and sit down and write another page.

(Chorus)

…………I wanna tell you one more time. I’m just a city girl, but I got a country heart

3- Dearly I Do

I don’t want to tell you some foolish lie, I don’t want to sing you lullaby

All I want to do, is tell you all the reasons why, I love you, dearly I do.

Chorus:

I been up and down round and round and all over the place, I been in and out and I got memories I can’t erase

There was a time I thought I’d never get out of this place, I knew it was you I’d seen in my dreams I recognized  your face

When you walked into the room I knew right from the start, You were the man for me that would steal my heart

I prayed God blessed the day and that we would never part, And you would know just how deeply I’d love you.

(Chorus)

It was a day so long ago that you caught my eye, I fell real hard for you, you didn’t even need to try

If ever I was sad, you wiped the teardrop from my eye, And darling I still love you!!!

And darling I still love you!!!

4- I Ain’t Gonna Be Here No More

Written By: ‘Dee Dee’ Diane Lorraine Fisher  Copyright: December 16, 2009

Well, I’m sittin’ here and I’m just packin’ up my boxes
You looked the other way, and laughed and walked out the door
Well, Honey I know you think you’re real cool
But I’m tired of bein’ your fool

When you come runnin’ back to me, I ain’t gonna be here no more.

Well I saw you last night  kissin’ on some sweet young thing,
See didn’t see you reach in your  pocket and slip off your wedding ring.
Well, I know it ain’t gonna last,
‘Cause to you she’s just another piece a ahhh……

But when you come runnin’ back to me, I ain’t gonna be here no more

No No No, Now you’re beggin’ me to take you back said it won’t happen again.
One of them women you been foolin’ around with she was my best friend.
Well, honey, I’m already packed and gone,
That’d be the last time you done me wrong.

There ain’t no running back to me, cause I ain’t gonna be there no more.

Guitar solo

No No NO so don’t you walk back thru that door, ‘cause
I don’t love you no more that’s for sure
There ain’t no runnin’ back to me, ‘Cause I ain’t gonna be there no more.

I’m over you,

And I loved you, that there was no doubt
Don’t let the door hit you on the way out,
There ain’t no runnin’ back to me, ‘Cause I ain’t gonna be there no more.

I’m outta here

And I loved you, of that there was no doubt
Don’t let the door hit you on the way out,
There ain’t no runnin’ back to me, ‘Cause I ain’t gonna be there no more.

I’m all done
There ain’t no runnin’ back to me, ‘Cause I ain’t gonna be there no more.

5- You Can Bend But You Can’t Break Me/This Ole Love Song

Written By: Diane Lorraine Fisher

Copyright 2009

You can bend, but you can’t break me. You’re not strong enough to make me, Cause I’ve been down this rocky road before

You can’t even say you love me, You’re not even thinking of me, You can’t hear me when I’m walking out the door

(Chorus)

It’s been a long time, and I miss you my darlin’. You’re just not the man I thought I knew before

You don’t even seem to care that I’m leavin’, I just can’t stay, don’t want to hurt this way no more.

(Chorus)

Then you cry out, please don’t leave me You will try not to deceive me. You won’t leave my broken heart out on the floor.

If  I stay until tomorrow, there will still be pain and sorrow, And I will sing this ole love song to you once more.

(Chorus)

……..You can bend, but you can’t break me.

6- Until We Die

Written By: Diane Lorraine Fisher Copyright: December 16, 2009

Unspoken Parts, Unwritten lines Hard Broken Hearts, and Words that Don’t Rhyme.

These are the things, we live, love, and we laugh about, till we die, and wonder why.

1st Chorus:

Some dreams don’t come true, there are stars that won’t rise. He’ll break her heart, and she’ll tell him lies, and they’ll cry.

Children will play, they dance, jump, sing and fall, and fight Mothers will say, baby everything’s gonna be alright.

These are the things, we live, love, and we laugh about, till we die, and wonder why.

1st Chorus:

A Soldier’s comin’ home, the war is at an end. Sweet Freedom will ring, once my enemy, you’re my friend.

These are the days, we live, love, and we laugh about, and we cry, and wonder why.

2nd Chorus:

Remember to say, everything that you’ve wanted to. Time passes by, and words get lost inside of you, then you die.

When our hope is gone, we fall down on our knees and pray. That God bless our lives, and save our America today.

These are the days, we live, love, and we laugh about, and we cry, and wonder why.

( 2nd Chorus)

This may  be the day, you’ll take a chance and forgive a friend. This day you may die, for you this may be the end.

Don’t let your life pass, a child dies inside of you, when you lie, and wonder why.

3nd Chorus:

On the last day of  life, what will you choose to say. Will you make peace, with your own  soul today, and never die, or wonder why.

(3rd Chorus)

………..You’ll never die, or wonder why. You’ll never die, or wonder why.

7- Sixteen Acres

Music and Lyrics: Diane Lorraine Fisher Copyright June 2010.

There are Sixteen Acres of Hallowed Sacred Ground, So many lives were lost, so few that could be found.

We called this place ground zero, the rescuers our hero. We wondered how we would survive,

Knowing that so many died.

We ask where is our God, when there is so much pain. We fall down to our knees and cry with no restrain.

We pray for faith and glory, Lord let your love restore me. When all our hope is lost, you reveal to us a cross.

Chorus:

And there is hope when I pray, that God will heal our souls today. No tragedy can hold me from a promise that he told me.

Through my pain you will mold me, in your Amazing Grace.

A place we called God’s House, we felt your presence near. We reach out for your comfort when the smoke has cleared.

We etched the names of loved ones in that fiery grave, and we Bless your Holy name for the lives that you have saved.

(Chorus)

Forever we remember the day the towers fell, the hopelessness and sorrow of those we’ve known so well. You have prepared a place

for the fallen to arrive. In the presence of The Father forever we’re alive.

(Chorus)

……..In Your Amazing Grace, In Your Amazing Grace, In Your Amazing Grace.

8- Thank You very Much (Tag)

Thank You, Thank God.  Thank You, thank you very much.
